Every year around this time we sit down and decide what the Eid collection is actually going to be — not just the colours, but the fabric, the cut, and one question that shapes almost everything else: how do we make a piece that still fits by the time Eid actually arrives, weeks after it's ordered?
Why block print, again
Hand block-printed cotton isn't a new choice for us, but it's a deliberate one every season. It breathes well through a full day of visiting relatives, it softens rather than fades with washing, and — practically — it hides the small marks a very active child inevitably picks up during Eid day.
Building in growth room
This is the part that doesn't show up in a photo. Every occasion piece we cut this season has a small, deliberate ease built into the side seams and hem — enough that a slightly-too-early growth spurt doesn't mean the kurta is retired after one wear. It's a few centimetres, invisible when worn, and the difference between a piece worn once and a piece worn for a full season.
